Kannada superstar Shivaraj Kumar may not have many reasons to feel unhappy about but expressed his pain today on the discrimination towards the innocent children infected by HIV.

“Why should these innocent children be discriminated when they are not responsible for the infection?”

He met some of the HIV infected children run by Mahesh Foundation in Kangrali during his visit to Belagavi on Sunday.

“I am depressed to see the condition of these children and endless their endless struggle against discrimination, their condition must be improved and collective efforts should be made to bring them into mainstream society, as they have equal right to life as others”.

Impressed with the service rendered by Mahesh Foundation for the past six years, he told Foundation’s Director Mahesh Jadhav, “I appreciate your sincere and selfless work and will help in very possible way.”

The children were thrilled to see the actor and gifted him with drawings, portraying the woes of life and discrimination.

“I am a hero on the screen but the people working for these innocent children are real heroes of society,” he said.
