Sheep, goat killed in leopard attack

A sheep and a goat were killed in a leopard attack in a Bangarpet village. The attack took place on Wednesday night at the sheep rearing shed of farmer Liaqat at Akkammanadinne village.

The incident came to light on Thursday morning when Liaqat went to the shed.

A veterinary doctor has been sent to the village for conducting autopsy, Bangarpet RFO Santhosh told The Hindu . Two of the five sheep and goats in the shed were killed.

Forest department personnel will observe the movement and a cage will be kept to trap the leopard, Mr. Santhosh added.
