April 25, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - KALABURAGI:

The Karnataka State Dalit Sangharsh Samiti (KSDSS) would be organising a seminar on Sunday here to discuss the conditions of Dalits and oppressed sections of society.

President of the Samiti D.G. Sagar, addressing presspersons on Friday, said that the seminar to commemorate 124th birth anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar was being organised in all district headquarters from April 14 to May 5, to highlight the failure of BJP-led NDA government at the Centre in implementing welfare programmes for the backward classes and minorities. He said that the oppressed and downtrodden were still deprived of benefits even after six decades of independence. The seminar would address the issues of oppressed communities.
