Siddaramaiah to inaugurate online draw of lots

The Karnataka State Haj Committee will select pilgrims for the Haj pilgrimage for 2014 through an online draw of lots (‘Qurrah’) at 4.30 p.m. on April 27 at the Vidhana Soudha.

The online draw of lots will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Applicants can also witness the proceedings.

The committee, in a press release, asked the applicants who wish to witness Qurrah to bring the Haj pilgrim acknowledgement letter issued by the committee along with an identify proof in originalOnly one person for each cover of applicants will be allowed to witness the draw of lots. The results of Qurrah will be published on the Haj Committee of India website www.hajcommittee.com and also on the Karnataka State Haj Committee website www.karhaj.in.
