November 23, 2014 04:59 pm | Updated 04:59 pm IST - RAICHUR:

Taking serious note of the security breach during Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's recent visit to Koppal, the Raichur district administration has tightened security for his visit to the district on Monday.

Addressing a media conference here on Sunday, Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth S. Senthil and Superintendent of Police M.N. Nagaraj said that they had put several mechanisms in place to avoid any unwarranted occurrence.

As per the details provided by the Deputy Commissioner, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the newly-built 500-bedded hospital building at the campus of the Raichur Institute of Medical Science in the morning, followed by a public on the same premises. The Chief Minister would then inaugurate the VIP guest house built at Yermarus. He would review the implementation of developmental projects and flagship social welfare programmes and leave 4 p.m.
