In view of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the city on Tuesday, the city police have beefed up security by deploying around 3000 policemen. This is the first visit of Mr Modi in the State as Prime Minister.
Mr Modi would land at HAL airport in the evening where extensive security arrangements have been made. It is expected that he would address BJP workers outside the airport. Senior police officials including city police commissioner M.N. Reddi have been on rounds to ensure that law and order situation is in place. Besides officers in uniform, some plain cloth men have also been deployed to monitor suspicious moments if any.
Traffic policemen too will be on their heels in order to facilitate a signal free corridor for Modi’s convoy.
As per the schedule Mr. Modi will head to the ISRO’s facility at Peenya to witness the Mars Orbiter Insertion on Wednesday morning after which, he will inaugurate the mega food park at the industrial estate in Tumkur.
