Search for elusive tiger continues

The operation to nab the tiger has continued in the forest areas near Jamboti village in Khanapur taluk in Belagavi district on the third day on Saturday.

Nearly 30 staff members of the Tiger Protection Force from Mysuru and a team of four Soliga tribesmen – Ambadi, Alumalai, Ketha and Bheda – from Chamarajanagar have arrived to assist the Department of Forests in this operation on Saturday. Meanwhile, 12 teams of nearly 80 staff members have continued combing four selected locations. A round-the-clock control room has been set up, the officials in the Department of Forests said.
