The Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDM-IMD), Mysore, conducted a five-day orientation programme for its new batch of 180 postgraduate management students from 20 different States here recently.

The students were selected for the academic programme after a rigorous admission process.

SDM-IMD offers postgraduate diplomas in management approved by the All-India Council of Technical Education and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation.


Senior executives from the corporate sector, veteran academicians, experienced entrepreneurs and experts from the industry addressed students at the orientation programme held for the new batch.

The need for teamwork, adaptability, collaboration, leadership and ethical values were highlighted by various speakers, according to a press release.

R. Venkatnarayan, president (HR), Rane Holdings Chennai; Ram Mohan C., senior vice-president and head of infrastructure management and tech support, MindTree Consulting Bangalore; Anant R. Koppar, chairman and CEO, KTwo Technology Solutions, Bangalore; T.R. Parasuraman, senior vice-president, Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts, Bangalore; R.C. Jagadesh, director (Operations and Technology), Kluber Lubrication , Mysore; Uma Balakrishnan, CEO, Axcend, Bangalore, and L. Manjunath, executive director, Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), Dharmasthala, were among those who addressed the students.
