Eight children received minor injuries when a school bus fell off the road into a ditch in Shirahatti-KD village in Chikkodi taluk on Monday. The bus was taking around 20 children to the Vishwanath Katti school in Bellad Bagewadi.
Doctors at a private hospital in Bellad Bagewadi treated them as outpatients.
The school is managed by family members of MLA Umesh Katti. A case has been registered in Hukkeri police station.
