Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that government officials and employees should serve the people without expecting any appreciation from the government and the citizens.

He was presenting the Sarvottam Seva Awards here on Sunday.

Mr. Siddaramaiah called upon those selecting officials for the awards to be careful in choosing those who served people.

‘Seasoned politician’

Meanwhile, Governor H.R. Bhardwaj has called Mr. Siddaramaiah “a seasoned politician.” The Governor was responding to a query about the performance of the Chief Minister and the Congress government in the State, at the At Home hosted at the Raj Bhavan on the occasion of Republic Day.
