The RSS has sent 42 workers to Gokak only to malign me by spreading lies about me, Ramesh Jarkiholi, district in-charge Minister alleged on Thursday. “They are resorting to cheap tricks as they have no other ways to fight me in the elections,” he said. He appealed to the people not to believe such “defamatory attempts” by the RSS.
Speaking at a Congress workers’ meeting at Gokak, Mr. Jarkiholi said that some people were spreading rumours about rifts between the Jarkiholi brothers. “Don’t listen to such rumours. We are all united and we will work towards leading Congress candidates to victory in the coming elections,” he said.
