Rs. 3.5 lakh stolen from car

Unidentified persons stole Rs. 3.5 lakh in cash after breaking the windowpane of a car parked on the B.M. Road here on Monday. Mahesh Gowda, resident of Hemavati Nagar here, said in his complaint with the Hassan Extension police that he had drawn Rs. 3.7 lakh from the Vijaya Bank on Mahatma Gandhi Road here and went to Karur Vysya Bank on B.M. Road to deposit Rs. 20,000 into his account there. On returning to take the car, he saw the windowpane broken and the money stolen. A case has been registered.
