Road blockade stir against bad roads in Mulbagal

November 16, 2017 04:26 pm | Updated 04:26 pm IST - Kolar

Activists of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) on Thursday staged a road blockade agitation at Mulbagal demanding repair of roads.

The roads have become non-commutable though they were asphalted only three months ago. Substandard quality of work was responsible for it, the protesters said. The officers and contractors are hand-in-glove in executing poor quality works, they alleged and wanted action taken against such persons.

Mulbagal City Municipal Council Commissioner Prahlad Babumet the protesters and assured them that potholes will be filled within a fortnight. They also said action will be taken against the erring contractors.

KRRS district unit president M. Srinivas, and taluk president Farooq Pasha participated in the protest.
