Heavy rain lashed Shimoga district on Sunday following which major rivers continued to be in spate.
The water-level in the Bhadra reservoir has increased by three ft in 24 hours.
The water-level was at 168 ft on Saturday and it went up to 171 ft on Sunday.
The inflow was recorded at the rate of 37,644 cusecs.
Linganammakki
The water-level in the Linganamakki reservoir that was at 1,797 ft on Saturday raised to 1,798 ft on Sunday.
The inflow was at the rate of 41,679 cusecs.
Vehicular movement between Shimoga and Tirthahalli on National Highway 13 was suspended on Saturday as the road near Mandagadde was inundated by the waters of the Tunga river.

Yadur in Hosanagar taluk received 168 mm rain, Mani 160 mm, Hulikal 140 mm and Mastikatte recorded 119 mm rain.
