Revised pay-scale for govt. employees soon

Minister for Medical Education Sharanprakash Patil has said that the State government is likely to soon announce the implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission that would revise the pay-scale of six lakh State government employees.

Report submitted

Inaugurating a district-level government employees sports and cultural meet jointly organised by the district administration, Youth Empowerment and Sports Department and Karnataka State Government Employees Association at the Chandrasekhar Patil Stadium in Kalaburagi on Monday, he said that a report has been submitted on the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission, which may be accepted and come up for approval by the Cabinet in February.

Mr. Patil said that it was essential for government employees that they take time off and actively participate in sports activities to change their lifestyle, including keeping physically fit.

The need of the hour is to bring transparency and punctuality in the functioning of all government offices in the interest of offering people-friendly administration, he added.

100-m race

Mr. Patil, along with Deputy Commissioner R. Venkatesh Kumar and Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Hephsiba Rani Korlapati, participated in a 100-m running race at the inaugural function of the sports meet.
