The revised electoral rolls of Karnataka will be published on January 31, said Joint Chief Electoral Officer S. Ziyaullah.

Speaking on the sidelines of National Voters’ Day celebrations here on Saturday, Mr. Ziyaullah said the rolls were to be ready by January 6, but a decision had been taken to finalise the rolls after verifying for duplication and other errors.

He said the total electoral population of Karnataka was 4.46 crore and that of Bangalore was between 80 lakh to 82 lakh. He said the electoral population ratio of the State was 68.5 per cent.

Updating will go on until the last day of filing of nominations, he said.
