Former Minister and JD(S) leader H.D. Revanna was conspicuous by his absence at the launch of the party’s election campaign from Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency in Mysuru on Tuesday.

Though former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, his wife Chennamma, besides former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and his wife Anitha Kumaraswamy were present, Mr. Revanna was not spotted either at the Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hills where the family offered puja, or at Lingadevarukoppal, where a public rally was held.

Contribution to KMF

However, Mr. Kumaraswamy did include in his speech the contribution of Mr. Revanna for the strengthening of the State’s co-operative milk producers’ federation – Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) – during his tenure at the helm of KMF.

Mr. Revanna and his wife Bhavani Revanna were, however, reportedly present at Hardanahalli, where Mr. Gowda and his family members including Mr. Kumaraswamy performed a special puja on Monday.
