Tejawini Gowda, former MP, has underlined the need for women to resist the atrocities on them.
Speaking at a two-day seminar on prevention of atrocities on women at Kannada University, Hampi, here on Monday, she said that women were equally capable in all aspects compared to men.
But the “system” has failed to provide them their due. Resistance against atrocities on women would help them get support and put an end to it.
According to Ms. Tejaswini, several laws had been enacted to protect women from atrocities but there was a need to create awareness about them among the public.
