All major reservoirs in Kalaburagi and Bidar districts, coming under the Kalaburagi Irrigation Division, continued to receive good inflow and the storage levels in the reservoirs have gone up appreciably due to the good spell of rain in the catchment areas of these reservoirs.
According to the official data available here recently, , Bennethora dam in Kalaburagi district continued to get good inflow and the present inflow stood at 810 cusecs and the present reservoir levels was 435.82 metres as against the full level of 438.89 metres.
The current storage of water in the dam was 2.64 tmcft as against the total gross storage of 5.297 tmcft.
The Bhima Lift Irrigation Scheme’s barrage at Sonna village in Afzalpur taluk also continued to get good inflow and the present inflow stood at 597 cusecs and the present level of water in the barrage was 402.950 metres as against the full reservoir level of 406.40 metres.
The available water in the reservoir was 1.420 tmcft as against the total gross capacity of 4.166 tmcft.
The Chandrampalli reservoir in Chincholi taluk in Kalaburagi taluk had an inflow of 566.93 tmcft and had a storage of 0.578 tmcft as against the total gross storage level of 1.208 tmcft of water. The present level of water in the dam was 487.19 metres as against the full reservoir level of 493.16 metres.
