A male tiger cub rescued from Nagarahole National Park on Thursday has been shifted to Mysuru zoo for treatment and its condition is improving.

The two other cubs which were part of the litter were found dead due to starvation at Dattahalli beat in Metikuppe range of the national park. R. Gokul, Conservator of Forests and Director of the national park, told The Hindu that the rescued cub, aged 8 to 10 months, was emaciated but was responding to treatment and eating well.

Apart from tigers, the zoo also receives leopards.
