Re-polling in 12 booths peaceful

Re-polling in 12 booths in nine Lok Sabha constituencies in the State was peaceful and incident-free on Tuesday.

Re-polling was necessitated due to technical problems in the electronic voting machines in 11 booths and electoral malpractice in the other polling station.

According to an officer in the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, Aliyambara booth of Bidar constituency recorded 77.61 per cent.

Among other polling stations, the poll percentage at Gore and Nagaral of Bagalkot Lok Sabha constituency was 77.46 and 72.81.

In Ranebennur of Haveri constituency, it was 73.49.
