Ravi’s death: ‘vaikunta samaradhane’ in Kolar

March 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - Kolar:

After bandh, protests, processions and candle light vigils to pay tributes to deceased IAS officer D.K. Ravi, people in Kolar even observed the ‘vaikunta samaradhane’ (11th day ceremony for a deceased person) on Thursday. They organised anna santharpane and conducted many other related activities, which is testimony to the kind of affection Mr. Ravi earned during his short stint as Deputy Commissioner in the district. Blood donation camps, harikathas, bhajans and mythological dramas were some of activities organised to pay respect to Mr Ravi.
