Rape case: Anticipatory bail granted to mother-in-law, father-in-law

The seventh Additional District Judge in Mysuru on Tuesday granted anticipatory bail to the mother-in-law and father-in-law of the retired IAS officer’s daughter, who had accused them of dowry harassment.

Arun Kumar, counsel for the accused, told The Hindu that the judge has granted anticipatory bail to the mother-in-law and father-in-law.

Meanwhile, the anticipatory bail plea of the complainant’s brother-in-law, which had been filed separately is scheduled to come up before the court on Wednesday. The complainant’s brother-in-law has been accused of raping her.
