The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Thursday took into custody a Railway department employee at the railway station here after he allegedly misbehaved with a woman passenger.

According to the GRP personnel, Rajesh, who was working at the ticket counter, behaved indecently with the woman when she came to the counter to buy tickets. He removed the trouser and used foul language against her.

Protest

The people gathered near the counter and protested against his behaviour. Later, the GRP personnel took him into the custody for questioning.

An internal inquiry would be conducted against him, the GRP officials said.
