‘Rail Humsafar Saptaah’ launched in Mysuru

Week-long initiative that will look into issues such as cleanliness, punctuality and interaction with customers, will be on till June 1.

The Mysuru division of South Western Railway on Thursday launched ‘Rail Humsafar Saptaah’, a weeklong initiative that will be on till June 1. Issues such as cleanliness, punctuality, catering, ticket checking, interaction with customers, etc. will receive attention and feedback will be taken from rail users.

Atul Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, South Western Railway, Mysuru division, inspected the Mysuru railway station along with senior officials on Thursday. He also distributed pamphlets to passengers on how to maintain sanitation on railway premises and on trains.

Cooperation sought

While interacting with the passengers on board the Bengaluru-bound Tippu Express, Mr. Gupta sought the cooperation and support of rail users by properly utilising the amenities provided by the Railways.

Later, he administered the cleanliness pledge communicated by the Union government to officials and staff at Mysuru railway station.
