Police arrest three, seizedemonetised notes

The Raichur West Police Station arrested three persons and seized demonetised notes with a face value of ₹ 16.70 lakh from them here late on Thursday evening.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police, headed by Sub-Inspector of Police L.B. Agni, arrested the three persons who had the demonetised notes in their possession and were waiting outside a hotel to exchange them.

The police gave the name of the accused as Syed Ansar from Raichur, Ravikumar from Dharwad and Parasuram from Manvi. A case has been registered in the West Police Station. Further inquiry is on.
