He is in the process of sending a group for a discreet survey of the constituencies

All India Congress Committee vice-president and MP Rahul Gandhi is learnt to have told Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee leaders that the party should win at least 25 of the 28 Lok Sabha seats in the general elections.

According to sources in the KPCC, Mr. Gandhi was in the process of selecting a group of associates for a discreet survey of candidates in each one of the constituencies.

The group will visit the State in the last week of this month or early October.

Meanwhile, Congress observers are engaged in searching suitable candidates.

The KPCC will send a three-member team to tour the State and study the situation to chalk out a strategy. An agency in Jayanagar, here, has been entrusted with the study in the districts. It will prepare a list of possible candidates and this list will be sent to New Delhi.
