Rahul to open Indira Canteen today

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will launch the Indira Canteen by having lunch at Kanakanapalya, near Ashoka Pillar here, on Wednesday. Along with this branch, 101 outlets of 198 planned by the BBMP would also start operating on Wednesday. Rest of the 97 will be opened on October 2 to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said. Following this, Mr. Gandhi will address Congress workers at the National College Grounds at 12.30 p.m. He will leave for New Delhi along with Mr. Siddaramaiah at 4 p.m.
