Some of the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, who have begun informal efforts to convince the party leadership on the need to woo the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa in a bid to improve the party’s poll performance in the Lok Sabha elections, have decided to meet party State president Pralhad Joshi in Bangalore on Thursday. About 10 BJP MLAs, including Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council D.V. Sadananda Gowda, and three MPs, who had met at the residence of D.B. Chandre Gowda, MP, in Bangalore last week, has decided to take up the issue with the party leadership. A former Minister, who is part of this group, told The Hindu they would first hold a meeting in Bangalore on Thursday morning to discuss their strategy before meeting Mr. Joshi. He claimed that a large number of party workers and leaders had expressed their support to the effort.
