Protest may lead to traffic snarls

April 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:32 am IST - Kolar:

Expect traffic snarls in the Central Business District in Bengaluru on Tuesday, as hundreds of residents from Kolar and Chickballapur will be taking out a procession from City Railway Station to Freedom Park seeking water supply to the two districts.

Karnataka Prantha Raitha Sangha vice-president G.C. Bayya Reddy told The Hindu on Monday that affected people from the districts will be participating. Rajya Sabha MP Sitaram Yechury is expected to address the gathering at Freedom Park.

The procession in Bengaluru is being supported by the Hasiru Sene, factions of Karnataka Rajya Dalit Sangharsha Samiti and the Karnataka Prantha Krishi Kooligarara Sangha.
