The Raichur, Ballari and Koppal (RBK) Milk Producers’ Union, headquartered in Ballari, has decided to increase the milk procurement price by ₹2.
The decision was taken at a meeting here to help milk producers in maintaining cattle during the prevailing drought, according to M.P. Ravindra, Director of Karnataka Milk Federation and Harpanahalli MLA.
Prior to the meeting, several milk producers from Koppal demanded the enhancement of the procurement price ₹2 to be able to overcome the shortage of animal feed and water.
