According to sources, the accused had allegedly attempted to rape a girl in the school premises recently. The girl informed her parents on Wednesday. Her parents and relatives visited the school and took the teacher to task.

They assaulted him before informing Holenarasipur police. The police have booked the case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Abuses Act (POCSO) 2012. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
