Presiding officer dies of heart attack in Negalur

A 38-year-old woman presiding officer of a polling booth died of a heart attack while on duty on Saturday night. Leelavati Moodabagil of Kannada Primary School at Kirageri of Hirekerur taluk in Haveri district was deployed as presiding officer for polling station no. 119 at Negalur village in the Haveri Assembly constituency.

Ms. Moodabagil suffered a heart attack on Saturday night. Although she was immediately rushed to the hospital, she did not recover and breathed her last in hospital, official sources said.
