A pre-paid auto centre was inaugurated at K.R. Hospital in Mysuru on Monday.
Housed in a kiosk donated by Inner Wheel Club of Mysore Central, the pre-paid counter is aimed at ensuring availability of transport to patients and their kin. The counter is situated near the Eastern Gate situated on Sayyaji Rao Road in front of the Opthalmology block of K.R. Hospital.
Speaking to The Hindu after inaugurating the pre-paid counter, City Police Commissioner M.A. Saleem said it was the eighth one to come up in the city, after the three situated at the City Railway station and one each at the palace, zoo, Infosys and KSRTC suburban bus stand.
He said four more such pre-paid counters would be established in the city soon. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Prabhakar Barki, who was present, said one more will be set up on the K.R. Hospital premises itself.
