Prabhavana Rath Yatra, organised as part of the Mahamastakabhisheka that will be held in February 2018, was flagged off at Shravanabelagola on Saturday.

A decorated vehicle will travel across the State to educate people about Mahamastakabhisheka and return to Shravanabelagola in January 2018.

Charukeerti Bhattaraka Swami of Jain Mutt said the yatra would reach all districts and invite people to Shravanabelagola. “Wherever the vehicle reaches, special lectures, music programmes and stage shows will be organised. We will also screen videos of previous Mahamastakabhisheka during the yatra,” he said.

Minister for Sericulture and Animal Husbandry A. Manju, who flagged off the yatra, said the preparation for the mega event was on. “The bus stand will be upgraded and roads connecting to Shravanabelagola will be improved,” he said.
