The II Additional District and Sessions Court in Raichur granted bail to actor Pooja Gandhi on furnishing a personal bond of Rs. 50,000 here on Monday.

The court had issued an arrest warrant against her last Wednesday as she had failed to appear before the court for two hearings in a case related to violation of model code of conduct during 2013 assembly polls. The judge, A. Somashekhar orally warned the actor not to skip hearings on excuses. The case has been posted to May 22 for next hearing.

Ms. Gandhi, who had contested for Raichur assembly constituency in 2013 assembly elections on BSR Congress ticket, is facing charges of violating model code of conduct by using vehicles for election campaign without the permission of Election Commission.
