Anitha Kumaraswamy, former MLA, has said her contesting in the next election would depend on the opinions of party’s national and State presidents.
Speaking to presspersons during her visit to Hasanamba Temple in Hassan on Friday, Ms. Kumaraswamy said, “I stick to decisions of the party’s national president and State president. The days to come will put an end to all speculations.” Further, she said, her son Nikhil would campaign for the party for a few days as his father H.D. Kumaraswamy had been taking rest.
T.A. Sharavana, Janata Dal (Secular) MLC, who also visited the temple, said the JD(S) would come to power after the next elections. Reacting to MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan’s statement criticising H.D. Revanna, he said he was ready to contest against Zameer Ahmed Khan in the coming election. “If the party decides, I am ready to contest against him in the election,” he said.
