‘I was removed based on a report that had no truth’
The former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa said here on Thursday that the people of the State had given the mandate to him to be the Chief Minister for a period of five years but he was removed on the basis of a Lokayukta report which had no truth in it.
He was addressing a meeting of his supporters, BSY Abhimanigala Balaga, here.
He said that he was left with just two options after being deposed as the Chief Minister. One was that he should have confined himself to his house and the other was that he should have proved his strength by showing to the people how strong he was politically.
He had preferred to choose the latter and come out with the idea of forming a regional party, he said.
Mr. Yeddyurappa hit back at the BJP leaders who claimed that he was negotiating with them to remain in the party, saying such statements had no merit.
Mr. Yeddyurappa reiterated that he would announce the formation of the new political outfit headed by him on December 10. The name of his party and the symbol too would be announced officially then.
A few local leaders from the Janata Dal (Secular) and the Congress were welcomed by Mr. Yeddyurappa to the new party at the venue of function which was packed with his supporters.

Indeed people had given him 5 years for ruling the state,but NOT
for amassing the wealth of the state at the cost of the
public.Better for Mr.Yeddy to STOP talking nonsense henceforth,for
his good.
Yes...of course ....Peoples mandate for 5 years ... but if this man
continued for 5 years Karnataka will become good for nothing ...!!!!
