Operations on to trap leopard

Forest Department personnel continued operations on Monday to trap the leopard which reportedly killed and ate a man at Veerakaputra on Saturday night. The department has kept cages at four places.

Assistant Conservator of Forests Venkateshappa, who supervised the operations on Sunday night, said “The staff are camping in the area along with a vehicle.”

Operations to trap the animal was launched as rangers sighted a leopard on Sunday evening, he added.
