Sudarshan, a 21-year-old magician from Mysore, rode a scooter blindfolded on the outskirts of Mysore city on Wednesday. He claims to have covered about 45–50 km near Siddalingapura, Srirangapatna and on Outer Ring Road.

Unable to get permission from the Mysore City Police for riding within city limits, Sudarshan, a resident of Irwin Road, rode on Bangalore-Mysore State Highway from Siddalingapura to Srirangapatna and from there to Outer Ring Road near Columbia Asia Hospital here.

The ride was flagged off from Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple at the Balarama Gate of Mysore palace. The venue was shifted to Siddalingapura since the police denied permission to ride in the city. After completing the feat in about two hours, Sudarshan told The Hindu that he nurtures a dream to enter the Limca Book of Records for riding non-stop for 500 km.

“I rode a bicycle blindfolded for 8 km in 2008. I am trying this on a scooter for the first time,” he said.
