Officials told to prepare list of people not owning house or site

C.S. Puttaraju, MP, has instructed the officials of the Mandya Zilla Panchayat to prepare a list of people who do not own any site or house in the district.

Mr. Puttaraju presided over the District Monitoring and Vigilance Committee meeting here on Tuesday.

The Deputy Secretary of the zilla panchayat should collect the information from the officials concerned and Panchayat Development Officers across the district before preparing the list. The officials should identify and rectify loopholes in connection with the implementation of Indira Awas Yojana (IAY), he said.

Janata Dal (Secular) MLAs N. Chaluvaraya Swamy and A.B. Rameshbabu Bandisidde Gowda instructed the zilla panchayat officials to prepare and submit the list at the earliest. They also urged the zilla panchayat officials to discuss with the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Ltd., officials on successful implementation of IAY.

Melkote MLA K.S. Puttannaiah, K.R. Pet MLA K.C. Narayana Gowda, zilla panchayat president Manjula Paramesh, Mandya Deputy Commissioner M.N. Ajay Nagabhushan, zilla panchayat Chief Executive Officer Rohini Sindhuri and others were present.

Earlier, Mr. Puttaraju visited the Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) and interacted with its director Pushpa Sarkar on improving the infrastructure at the hospital.
