Nine tuskers found in tanks

Nine tuskers were found in two tanks in Tumakuru taluk on Thursday.

According to the Forest Department, the tuskers had come from Savanadurga Forest in Magadi taluk of Ramanagaram district.

Five tuskers were found in Mallasandra tank and four in Lakshmanasandra tank of Tumakuru taluk.

Assistant Conservator of Forests, D. Devaraj, told The Hindu , “A team of 25 members, including forest officers, are carrying out the driving operation.”
