Sports enthusiasts and fitness freaks in Bangalore South were in for a surprise on Sunday as they got a chance to play cricket with Congress candidate Nandan Nilekani. Mr. Nilekani, who started campaigning even before the party declared his candidature, has been going around every Assembly seat. On Sunday, accompanied by Govindarajnagar MLA Priyakrishna, Mr. Nilekani caught up with voters early in the morning and played cricket and badminton with people in a stadium there.

Taking out a padayatra with his team from Govindarajnagar, he greeted voters and discussed his development agenda for the constituency. Mr. Nilekani, the former Infosys co-founder , listened to the concerns of voters. Hoping to ride on his tech image as well as the people’s “desire for change,” he assured the voters that he would do his best to address their worries over the long-ignored challenges.
