Neeraj Patil to receive Keladi Shivappa Nayaka award

The district unit of Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Mahasabha will confer the Keladi Shivappa Nayaka award to Neeraj Patil, the former Mayor of London Borough of Lambeth at Kuvempu Rangamandir in the city on August 14.

Rudramuni Sajjan, president of district unit of the Mahasabha, in a press release, has said that Mr. Neeraj Patil was selected to be a recipient of the award mainly owing to the work he put in to ensure that a statue of social reformer Basaveshwara was installed in the London Borough of Lambeth in the U.K.

The programme to confer the award and laud Mr. Neeraj Patil’s efforts will commence at 10 a.m. at Kuvempu Rangamandir, here.

The former Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party state unit president B.S. Yeddyurappa, will take part in the programme.
