National conference on philosophy from May 21

The first national conference on philosophy will be held at Academy of Comparative Philosophy and Religion’s (ACPR) Gurudev Ranade Mandir at Hindawadi here from May 21 to 23. The theme of the conference is - “A paradigm of integral human development in the thoughts of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya”. Sponsored by the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), it has been organised by ACPR in association with Rani Channamma University (RCU), Belagavi.

ACPR’s honorary secretary M.B. Zirali told reporters here on Thursday that the event marks the 50th death anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyaya, leader of Bharatiya Jana Sangh.

ICPR member secretary M.P. Singh will deliver the key note address after a formal inaugural function on Saturday. As many as 29 papers will be presented during various sessions.
