Mysuru-based Software Paradigms Infotech (SPI) has acquired U.S.-based QwikCart, a provider of mobile and e-commerce solutions for retailers.

“SPI has acquired substantially all assets of the US based QwikCart, a provider of mobile and e-commerce solutions for retailers with its patent-pending mobile e-commerce software platform,” said a statement from SPI here on Wednesday.

QwikCart provides retailers with branded mobile and e-commerce solutions that enable their customers to purchase goods and services from anywhere at any time for pick-up, delivery or shipping.

“Strategically, this asset acquisition gives us a speed-to-market advantage that is very significant and critical in our goal to be the ‘Right Retail Partner’,” said Sid Mookerji, Global CEO of SPI, in a statement here.

Describing the acquisition of QwikCart as the eighth acquisition in SPI’s history, the company said it had aggressive plans for growth this year.
