Visitors to Dasara flower show at Mysore will be greeted by a giant replica of Vidhana Soudha, created using around one lakh roses. The 11-day flower show is being held at Kuppanna Park (Nishad Bagh), starting from September 25.
“Some of the roses being used will be imported. The flowers used in the replica will be changed twice during the flower show,” Deputy Director of Horticulture H.M. Nagaraj told presspersons here on Monday.
Kuppanna Park will be hosting the flower show for the first time after the venue was shifted from Curzon Park, next to Mysore Place.
The other attractions in the flower show include pomegranate festival and exhibition of organic products from Jaivik Krishik Society. Added attraction will be the musical fountain that will be displayed between 7 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. daily.
While the authorities are spending Rs. 39 lakh on the flower show, Rs. 12 lakh is being spent on the Vidhana Soudha replica alone. Flower show is open for viewing from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the show.
