Music fest concludes

The three-day Rudrapatnam Music Festival concluded at Rudrapatnam in Arkalgud taluk on Sunday.

Hundreds of people from across the State participated in the three-day music fiesta.

The music programme organised on the banks of Cauvery on Saturday, the second day of the festival, attracted the highest number of audience. A group of singers led by R.K. Padmanabha presented Tyagaraja’s Pancharatna Kritis or the five gems of his compositions, on the day while ‘theppotsava’ was held with the idol of Lord Channakeshava being carried in a boat. Venkatesh Kumar, Hindustani vocalist, was conferred Nacharamma award instituted by the Rudrapatnam Music Festival Committee. .
