MP K.H. Muniyappa chided Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in a lighter way at the inaugural of Scania bus manufacturing plant at Narasapur near Kolar on Tuesday.

In his inaugural address, Mr. Gadkari lauded the Scania company for its role in manufacturing of transport vehicles. He invited the company officials to start its unit in Maharashtra and said the facilities and concessions will be provided four times more than what Karnataka government was giving to the company.

Later, in his speech local MP K.H. Muniyappa objected to this. “Don’t take away the facility Kolar got”, he said. He also said, ‘Remember that you are the Minister for 125 crore people of the country, not of just any one region’. These remarks by the former Union Minister triggered laughter among the audience.
