“Betta land holders will get 75 per cent more facilities, which was their demand for a long time,” Major Industries Minister R.V. Deshpande told media persons here on Saturday.

Amendments

Amendments were brought in to Karnataka Forest Manual 1978 and an order was issued by the Department of Forest and Environment in a meeting on August 6 this year, Mr. Deshpande said.

By this amendment, Betta land holders could take up development activities in their land, he said.

Asked about problems regarding e-property, he said that it would be solved soon after discussing it with the Rural Development Minister.

Regarding the vacant teacher posts in schools, he said that an order would be issued in two days.

Offices

When Uttara Kannada District Congress Committee president Bhimanna Naik said that not all offices have been shifted to the Mini Vidhana Soudha in Sirsi, Mr. Deshpande said that it was necessary to send a detailed information about offices functioning in rented buildings to the government through the Deputy Commissioner.
